Each year on the first day of school I love to have my boys greet their new teacher with a little gift to say hello and that we are glad to be in their class. I love how this Back to School Striped Mason Jars teacher gift turned out, it was a huge hit.
Not only is this set cute, it’s a functional gift for the teacher to help them stay organized with some of their favorite school supplies.
Supplies:
– mason jars
– DecoArt Americana home decor chalky finish paint (everlasting white, romance red, delicate yellow, legacy blue)
– DecoArt Americana créme wax
– clean soft white cloth
– foam brushes
– painters tape
– sandpaper (optional)
I am not showing a step by step tutorial today, but there is a full tutorial on how to make these super fun striped mason jars HERE with my Spring Inspired Striped Jars. Head over and see how easy they are to make.
I chose to stick with a color palette that reminded me of school so I chose primary colors. My youngest son went off to first grade this year so it is a perfect color combo for his teacher.
Once you have all your cute Back to School Striped Mason Jars painted it’s time to fill them with a few cute supplies.
You have a few choices. You can fill them with office supplies, individually wrapped candies for the teacher to snack on, or some $5 gift cards to places like Sonic – Starbucks – or Target.
Wrap each jar with a simple piece of jute twine or ribbon and add a tag and you are all set to greet the new teacher on the first day of school, these also make a great gift at any time during the school year.
