I love creating custom shirts for our boys, something you wouldn’t necessarily find in the stores. This DIY Halloween Shirt is the latest tee I’ve made for them. Creating unique and custom fashion for your kiddos isn’t hard, with just a few supplies the possibilities really are endless.
Supplies:
– t-shirt
– black fabric paint
– freezer paper stencil
– round foam pouncer brush
Last month I shared this DIY Geek Inspired Shirt, you can visit that project HERE to get a more detailed description of how to create a freezer paper stencil using a cutting machine and how paint your t-shirts using the freezer paper stencil. This is my favorite method for creating custom tee’s.
Get creative and search around google to create free custom images. If you have a cutting machine like my Cricut Explore then you can utilize images from the software to create a custom image.

That shirt is awesome! I don’t have a Cricut though so I guess I’d have to freehand the stencil? Very cool!
Thanks Emily. Yes you can totally freehand the stencil! I’ve done it for several projects prior to owning a cricut. You would just print your design in black and white, then place the freezer paper shiny side down over top of the image. Use a pencil or fine tip sharpie to trace the design and cut with a sharp xacto knife on a cutting mat or board. Be sure to save your middle letter pieces in letters like A’s, etc… 🙂
Adorable, clever and a throwback to my era! Love it! Do you have the image available for download? I do have a circuit explore and would love to make this as a t-shirt or holiday decor.
