Since I shared my Halloween Felt & Burlap Wreath yesterday I thought I would share the rest of my Halloween / Fall Porch with you. I didn’t go overboard with Halloween decor since we don’t pass out candy on Halloween. I wanted to just add touches of it, but have it simple enough to last through the whole Fall season.
This summer I painted a few of my old flower pots with Valspars Exotic Sea spray paint from Lowes. They were beat up before and just adding a new coat of paint really brightened up the porch. I decided to carry them in to Fall by adding bright yellow mums. The black stand is something my hubby built a while back on the fly so he could have something to sit on in the garage while at his workbench, whoops I stole it! I added a few pumpkins, we don’t carve them. Sometimes we paint them but this year I really loved that pop of orange with the turquoise pots.
I added a cute sign I made {coming this week}, and a little iron owl. I also grabbed another potted mum from the grocery store and decided to leave it in the pot in came in. I just spray painted the pot white {while the plant was still in it} then I used some DecoArt Americana Multi-Surface black acrylic paint and a round dobber to create polka dots. It totally tied that little space all together.
Now because I’m all for being real, I’m going to show you what our front door really looks like with my cute wreath hanging on it. No I don’t have a pretty “blogging friendly” front door. I live in horribly hot Arizona and have an ugly metal screen door. It’s almost a necessity in Arizona to have one, because as soon as it’s cool enough to open your doors you do cause it won’t last long. Eventually I will either ask the hubby to get me a new style, more updated or remove it all together. We are also changing out small things soon like the light fixture {that doesn’t even fit, they put the wiring in the worst spot ever}, and we are changing out the numbers and hopefully someday the paint again. When we bought the house it was actually painted to resemble a giant creamsicle! I do love our brick though.
This is our front porch. Nope I wasn’t drunk or sideways when I took these pictures, that’s actually the slope of our foundation. I don’t know why, but you only notice it in pictures. The black and white pillows are from Targets end of summer clearance, waited all summer for those things to go on clearance. $7 bucks! The red and orange pillows were from World Markets summer line. That’s it that is my front porch. I love the mix of fall colors mixed with bright colors. Now only if the trees changed colors here like everywhere else I’d be in heaven!

Very cute! I also really like your front door too, it’s unique! I think I’m going to run out and buy another mum and paint the pot just like you did–great idea, thank you!

This is such a cute decorated porch. We don’t celebrate Halloween in Australia so you would never see something like this. I love it though!!
