Last month I introduced you to the Minc, today I’m back showing you another fun project using this AMAZING machine. Guys! I love this machine so much, it’s just so fun to use and to create with. Last month I showed you how to create Metallic Foiled Gift Wrap with the Minc, today I’m sharing these fun Foiled Cactus Prints & Free Printables.
Supplies:
MINC Foil Applicator
MINC Foil, any color your heart desires
MINC Transfer Fold (the plastic sleeve that comes with the machine)
Free Printable Cactus print found HERE, use the black prints for this project
Scissors
Tissue paper, optional for cactus flower
Start by downloading the Free Printable Cactus print found HERE. To complete this project you will need to have a laser printer to print the printable for foiling, if you don’t own a laser printer you can take the file to your local copy shop to have it printed there.
Once you’ve got it printed you will need to pick a foil to apply. I chose to use the Mint for one of the cactus prints.
Cut just enough foil to cover the portion you want to be foiled with that color choice.
Turn on your machine and set it to the “3” setting.
Place your foil covered print inside the plastic sleeve and send it through the Minc.
I also used the Hot Pink for a small detail heart to add to my print.
Once the prints come through the Minc remove it from the plastic sleeve, then just peel away the foil.
I used a small dimensional foam dot to adhere the detailed heart to the arm of my cactus.
If you want to do something different you can cut up some small squares of hot pink tissue paper to create a small tissue paper flower to resemble a cactus blossom.
Basically just glue them together and squish so it looks like a tiny flower. You can use a toothpick to help you fluff it.
Just glue the small tissue flower to the arm of the cactus instead of the detailed heart. Otherwise, you can just have a plain cactus print.
I also created a fun Arizona themed cactus print which was the first photo at the top of this post. For this print, I used the Emerald and Rose Gold foils to resemble the Arizona dessert a little more.
I cut a small piece of the Rose Gold first and placed it over the cute little “HOME” saying. Then I ran it through a second time with the Emerald foil covering the cactus.
I seriously love how these simple prints turned out. They would make a cute gift for someone, or you could shrink the printables in size and make cute gifts tags for a fun gift.
For those of you who don’t have a Minc YET, I didn’t want you to feel left out so I have some cute Free Printable’s of these fun Cactus Prints. Just follow the link HERE to print whatever color you like and print on matte photo paper. Enjoy!
You can find the Minc starter kit and accessories at Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann, along with a number of local stores and online shops like the links I provided above for amazon.
