The other day on Pinterest I spotted these Houndstooth Pumpkins.
Which you saw in my Skull Felt Pillow {Target Knock-Off} post from yesterday.
You can visit the The V Spot which is the original source of the project.
I just thought it was too cute to not make, especially because I already had a few of these Dollar Tree pumpkins lying around.
I went to Michaels and bought the Houndstooth duct tape {with a coupon of course}. Came home and 10 minutes later had myself a couple of adorable black & white themed pumpkins to match my typical black & white Halloween displays. Such a quick and simple way to transform the foam pumpkin. Although I didn’t split my duct tape like she did in tutorial at The V Spot, mine still turned out great. I also just painted my stems with acrylic paint. There are so many great duct tape patterns and color right now. I almost bought the gold and silver ones, but then decided that since I already had gold and silver spray paint at home I didn’t need to buy the duct tape. But aren’t they fun?

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

OH!! This pumpkin is amazing! I must have one! Was it difficult to make the tape lay on the pumpkins creases?

I want to do this! I bought some of those pumpkins last year. Wonder if I can find them! 🙂 YEA!!! So so simple!!! I might have to glue a rolled flower on it to make it girly! 😉
