Today I’m showing you this super simple Halloween Tote Bag that I made for my boys for their Halloween Candy hauls. These really are an easy and fairly quick project and can be personalized to suit your child’s costume even.
Supplies:
– 1 Canvas Tote Bag {any size you want, the bigger the more room for candy!}
– Fabric Paint
– Masking Tape or Painters Tape
– Paint Brushes {one needs to be a smaller more detailed brush}
– Piece of cardboard or manila folder
All I did was tape off the stripes that I wanted with masking tape / painters tape. If you are doing it like mine then you should have 4 rows of tape. Place a piece of cardboard or a manila folder inside the tote so the paint won’t bleed through.
I printed the word “BOO” out on a piece of cardstock in a font I liked then cut it out. I then just traced the letters with a white colored pencil.
I painted my stripes with white paint and left the tape on until it was completely dry. Then using my smaller paint brush I filled in and painted the word “BOO”.
That’s it, your done. You can add rhinestones, glitter, even some felt flowers for a girl like I did below. You can see my felt flower tutorials HERE.
I have a simple tote now for my boys to use from year to year.
