The Handmade Nest {Recap}

My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude! When myself, and my three fellow blogging buddies decided to plan an event of this size last year we were beyond nervous that no one would show up. We cannot even begin to express our heartfelt thanks to each and every single one of you that helped to make our first craft night a smashing success! We had many conversations, planning meetings, trips to multiple craft and home improvement stores, all with our fingers crossed that we would be able to create something that YOU would enjoy and find value in.

We were blown away when 140 women came together last Friday night to craft, create, network, and support each other and we could not be happier with all the amazing compliments and kind words of encouragement we have received!

Of course, none of this would be possible without our generous and amazing sponsors. When each lucky lady arrived and checked in to the event they received a Vintage Rose Wrap and a custom necklace courtesy of myself – The Crafted Sparrow. It’s our goal to give each attendee a new charm to add to their necklace for each event, a Handmade Nest charm necklace of memories, if you will. So be sure to hold on to your necklaces ladies, and don’t worry if you weren’t able to attend and get one we will have them available for future guests.

The craft kits were a hit and we loved getting to package them up in all of their lacy cuteness. If you missed out on getting your own craft kit or don’t live in the Phoenix area, stay tuned because we’ll be announcing some exciting news concerning those kits within the next week.

Giveaways are always a popular part of any event and this one didn’t disappoint. We were able to give away over 40 prizes! Again a huge thank you to all of our giveaway sponsors! There were some amazing prizes, I can even say I was jealous of a few of the ladies that won!

One of our favorite parts of the entire night was the fantastic cake bar put together by Petite Party Studio and Inspired Sugar. Gorgeous and delicious; what more could we ask for? We heard so many compliments about the cake itself, that Vanilla Raspberry cake was my absolute favorite! Yum.

We were in awe when the Inspired Sugar ladies walked in with a cake that had our logo on it and it ended up being a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cake! Oh my! This is the first time I’ve had it and I was lucky enough to bring some home to the hubby, let’s just say that it didn’t last long. He was quite pleased!

We had so much fun getting to interact and craft with some of the most amazing ladies in the Phoenix area. It was so fun to come home and start checking our Instagram feeds and seeing everyone posting there finished craft kits, so if you made a project we encourage you to post it in your home and tag us at #thehandmadenest on Instagram. This definitely won’t be the last event we’ll be holding so keep checking back here and on our Facebook and Instagram accounts to stay in the loop, we’ve already started planning the next one!

Oh My!!!! This looks like it was Beyond, AMAZING!!! I am so thoroughly Bummed I wasn’t able to make it.. I sure do hope the next one isn’t to far off!!! Congratulations to all of you on the Success of your FIRST of MANY events!

Thanks for a great night, Rebecca! You and the rest of The Handmade ladies did a great job putting the even together. The swag bags were fun, the raffle prizes amazing, and I’m still thinking about that cake!! I can’t wait till the next event.
