Italian food is one of my favorite cuisines. All the pastas, simple ingredients, and fresh flavors…what’s not to love! When I was approached by World Market to come up with a recipe to go along with the World Market’s Gourmet Getaway Sweepstakes I knew I wanted to create a simple appetizer that anyone could make. Today I’m sharing Fried Polenta I made using simple Italian ingredients found in my local World Market Gourmet Food & Drink section.
I created this printable recipe card for you, simply click on the recipe and save it…then print. To enlarge the photo click on it as well.
This appetizer is easy to make, budget friendly for a party or dinner at home with the family. That’s a winning recipe in my books. Let’s not forget that it’s super delicious too. If your looking for a great creamy polenta recipe on it’s own use the same recipe but just skip frying the polenta.
World Market has partnered up with the Live Well Network and their hit show My Family Recipe Rocks hosted by Joey Fatone. My Family Recipe Rocks features amazing hometown cooks across America! Joey Fatone and his crew are cooking up old family recipes, new homegrown dishes and meeting the people behind this great food in their own kitchens. Take a peak…

We had this dish for breakfast when I was growing up. We fried it in butter and smothered it in King corn syrup. It was called fried mush.
