Disclosure | I want to thank West Elm for sponsoring this post and helping me share our holiday traditions with you. All ideas & opinions are my own.
Every year during the holidays the weather here cools down just enough to actually feel like we have seasons. Everything feels cozier, resulting in the urge to bake delicious goodies and treats for those we love. For the holidays I usually make a fun mix of sweet treats to give out to neighbors and for our Christmas morning celebration with family. This year for a breakfast treat we are making these Cinnamon Pull Apart Mini Loaves.
With the help of West Elm Market I was able to make this holiday family recipe in style and with ease. West Elm Market has so many great items, especially for the holidays and gift giving. These were some of my favorite finds, the nordic ware nonstick mini loaf pans were seriously a dream to bake with.
Let’s get baking!
Ingredients:
– 2 packages pizza dough dry mix
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
– 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
– 1 stick of butter, melted
For the icing:
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1 1/2 tablespoons of milk
– 1 teaspoon vanilla
{recipe yields two small loaf pans}
Make your pizza dough recipe according to package instructions, and add 2 tablespoons of honey and mix. Let it rise for 10 minutes while in a covered bowl. {optional: add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil to the outside of your dough to prevent sticking}
Preheat your oven to 375*. Cut your dough in to small 1″ size pieces and set aside.
Mix your cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl. Melt 1 stick butter in a small saucepan and place in a separate small bowl.
Take a piece of dough and dip in melted butter and roll in your cinnamon mixture. Place in greased mini loaf pans. Once full bake for 12-15 minutes.
These textured dip bowls were the perfect size for me to prep all my little pillows of cinnamon goodness.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Once cooled prepare your icing using a wire whisk. Drizzle over top of your cooled loaf.
At this point you can either wrap it up with some cute parchment paper and bakers twine {let icing harden first}, or you can dig in and enjoy this awesome cinnamon treat!
