Can you believe that the Fourth of July is just around the corner?! That means lots of summer bbq’s are about to be planned, decorations made, and drinks to be served. Today I’ve teamed up with some friends to share some awesome 4th of July Free Printables with you, I’m sharing these fun little Patriotic Drink Umbrellas .
These little drink umbrellas are super easy to make, and who doesn’t love a drink with a cute little umbrella in it?!
Supplies:
Free Printable Patriotic Dink Umbrellas, found HERE
Scissors
Bamboo skewers
Glue gun or fast drying glue
Bone folder, optional
Start by downloading the Free Printable Patriotic Dink Umbrellas pdf file. When the file is open you can download it to your computer and open it in a program like Word, Publisher, or Photoshop to print. Otherwise, there is a print option when you open the file from the link above.
Print these umbrellas on matte photo paper or white cardstock.
Cut out each umbrella with a pair of scissors. It doesn’t look like it in this photo, but there are cut lines along the outer edge of the umbrellas so you know just where to cut.
You will also need to cut the bamboo skewers to fit in your glass / cup. Start by measuring one skewer in your glass / cup and use that one as your guide for the rest. I find it easiest to cut a little bit into the skewer with scissors (like you’re scoring it), then just break it by hand the rest of the way.
Take each cut paper umbrella and either using a bone folder or your fingers gently fold each colored section of the umbrella inward so it creates the shape of a real umbrella.
Using hot glue adhere the two white sectioned ends together by overlapping one on to the other.
Use hot glue to secure the bamboo skewer to the inside of each paper umbrella. Let dry. Store standing upright in a small glass or container.
Aren’t they super cute? Like I said, any drink is better when there’s a tiny fun paper umbrella in it. So be sure to print these out and have them at your next patriotic get together.
These would also be a great project for the kiddo’s to put together for you, they could do all the cutting, folding, and gluing of the paper parts with quick dry glue. Then you could add the skewers later with hot glue.

These are SO adorable!! I just made a dozen for my granddaughter’s 3 year old birthday party, which is going to be on 04 July. The theme of her party is Patriotic Princesses, so my daughter is going to use Red, White, Blue and PINK as the colors. I thought i’d check to see if you had these cute umbrellas in any other color choices? These are really cute and so easy to make! Thanks for the downloadable!!!
