As soon as I saw these raw wood round disc ornaments I knew they ‘d be perfect for this idea. You can use any round flat wood disc for this project.
I knew I wanted this to be a quick and easy project so I kept the design of my cookie simple. I love simple sugar cookies so they were the inspiration for this project.
I painted my entire wood disc a shade I mixed with Vanilla Shake and Coffee Bean to resemble the sugar cookie color.
Then added the “frosting” with a small paintbrush.
Once the “frosting” was dry I added fun sprinkle in several coordinating colors, make sure you use a thinner flat paintbrush to add your sprinkles.
You could make these Painted Cookie Ornaments in any color theme you want. This white cookie with bright sprinkles might be my fave.
