Black & White Modern Farmhouse Patio Decor

Our backyard is quite spacious, we are lucky enough to have a yard big enough for two pools if we wanted one and an extended covered patio. We’ve had the same outdoor dining table for about 10+ years and while it was great once upon a time, it was time to upgrade and get something a little more my style. I’m loving how this Black & White Modern Farmhouse Patio Decor makes this space feel cozier and somewhere I’d actually like to sit and have family dinner.

A few months ago we sold our old glass top table and chairs, it was nothing special…just something you’d find at any store that sold outdoor patio furniture. I knew I wanted something for this space that was going to last in our hot Arizona sun and would be comfortable enough to have dinners at, maybe sit at while I’m working, and would fit my personal style.

This modern farmhouse patio refresh was so easy to pull together with the help of my friends at Better Homes & Gardens.

The first thing I needed for this space was a table, I love the look of mix and match pieces so when I saw the Better Homes & Gardens Camrose Steele Dining Table I knew it would be really great in our space. I love the look of the faux wood on top, but the whole table is actually metal. With two boys and a hubby who use this outdoor space for lots of guy stuff, I knew this table needed to stand up to all their tools and random boy stuff being plopped down on top. I went with two types of dining chairs, the first is the Better Homes & Gardens Camrose Farmhouse Wicker Chairs. I love the texture it adds to this space and they are super comfortable. You can get these chairs in-store right now for $44, you can’t beat that price! I added simple Better Homes & Gardens black seat cushions, you can also get these in-stores for $8.88 each.

For the other chairs, I went with my favorite Better Homes & Gardens Camrose Farmhouse Industrial Café Chairs. These chairs are so good, I feel like they are more comfortable than a typical tub chair and I love the finish. They also come in an armless version HERE. In case you were wondering because I know you were…yes, they stack beautifully for storage! So if you’re someone who entertains a bunch these are great chairs to keep a few extra on hand.

My love for black and white stopped me when I saw these cute Better Homes & Gardens Diamond Wandering Ikat Lumbar Pillows in the store. I bought one for each of the industrial chairs for a little extra comfort. Oh yeah, they are also only $8.88.

If you saw my Instagram stories the other day you saw that I showed this awesome Better Homes & Gardens Diamond Wandering Ikat Rug. I’ve been searching for a cute black and white outdoor rug for a while now and loved that this one was not only reversible, it was under $70. It’s also super soft and can be used indoors as well.

I found these coordinating black and white Better Homes & Gardens Mirrored Striped Pillows to add to the larger wicker chairs. The go great with the other pillows. I actually have a black and white stripe version from last years outdoor summer decor from the BHGLiveBetter for Walmart line that I also have on hand for sitting around the firepit and for extra seating. I threw all the extra pillows in the new Better Homes & Gardens large woven basket I found in-store. The BHGLiveBetter line really has so many great pillows and cushion choices this year.

Since I wanted to keep my decor neutral I decided to add a bit of color with some terracotta planting pots on the patio and on the table top. Living in Arizona our temps are already in the 80’s in March, so keeping flowers alive is almost impossible…especially since I have the blackest thumb ever. I added a pop of color with some pink bougainvillea in the larger pots I already had. We have bougainvillea along the walls of our backyard and I absolutely love when they bloom and fill my yard with bright pink. Since I was going to with plants that were desert-friendly I kept with succulents for the other planters. That pop of bright pink with all the black and white makes me so happy.

One final addition to this space was these Better Homes & Gardens 16″ Solar Powered Wood Lanterns. Eventually we will add more lighting to this space with string lights but for now, I wanted some lighting to help make things cozier at night and these lanterns are perfect. I love that they are solar, thank goodness for no batteries. They actually had quite a few styles of solar lighting options to choose from in-store and online.
